Uninstall Xposed Installer
Dec 30, 2016. First, download two files — Xposed Framework (zip) and Xposedd Installer (apk); Next, first flash the Xposed Framework zip file from your custom. Do do this, reboot your Android to normal mode, install system apps uninstaller from play store and uninstall few apps that you don't use much like notes. Download the latest Xposed framework installer app, and sideload the downloaded APK to your device in order to install it. Once installed, launch the Xposed Installer app from your app drawer. Once installed, launch the Xposed Installer app from your app drawer. To clarify what others have said - xposed is currently a two part system. The installer (which handled the framework 4.x), and the framework. The framework is what really makes everything work, and the installer is mainly just a user interface. By flashing the uninstaller you are removing the framework, but keeping the UI.
I did two things to install Xposed. Firstly, I flashed xposed-v75-sdk21-x86.zip and then installed the .apk file. I can now uninstall the app itself but how can I erase the flashed file of the .zip?
Also, where are the modules stored? How to delete the modules completely?
Device is LG G3 D855. Running on Cloudy G3 ROM.

I can now uninstall the app itself but how can I erase the flashed file of the .zip?
See the attached files in the first post of this thread. In relevance to your device's CPU architecture, download the uninstaller archive and flash it from the custom recovery. It would undo the changes the installer archive made.
In essence, the installer archive keeps the original system files but appends in their name .orig or convert them into archives (unofficial installers do). It then places its modified files at their location. All uninstaller does is remove the modified and extra files and change the backed up files back to their original self.

If you've the knowledge of setting the appropriate SELinux context for a file in Android from recovery mode, you can simply map the files the installer would've changed, revert the changes using command-line and set the correct context. No uninstaller would be required.
Note: If you're not using the official Xposed Framework then the uninstaller may not work for you. It may even cause unforeseen issues. Best is to search the web for the uninstaller.
Also, where are the modules stored?
- Xposed Installer app downloads the modules under
/sdcard/Download. - They may be called modules but they simply are apps to Android, hence the APK would be found under
/data/appor the locations covered here by Izzy. Alike every app, there data directory would be found under/data/data.
How to delete the modules completely?
Deleting an Xposed module is no different than removing any user installed app from Android. So, you can use any technique that you would use to remove an ordinary app.
Note that the file XposedBridge.jar under /system/framework/ is what provides modules the necessary APIs to interact with the modified framework.
Use the file Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip located at /sdcard/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files. Flash that file from recovery mode (requires a custom recovery) to disable Xposed Framework. If you don't have such file, download it from the first post of the official thread.
That archive, in essence, changes /system/bin/app_process.orig to /system/bin/app_process i.e. it removes the modified app_process and brings the original file back to its glory. It doesn't delete the Installer app. You can make those changes on your own too using adb in recovery mode.
The concept of modules here is no different from what is covered in the above section.
Until KitKat, to disable the framework you need to flash this zip (stored on your /sd at installation Xposed-Disabler-Recovery.zip .
As far as uninstalling the modules goes, selecting Modules, (from installer), long pressing the module(s) to be removed does it in KitKat. Of course, changes take place after reboot, and I am assuming the same holds for higher versions of Android. Modules reside as per Izzy's comment for KitKat.

I am on KitKat and have no way of testing this. It was a coincidence reading this and later seeing your question.

- After installation, reboot your Android device.
- Now you can download and install the Xposed Modules via Xposed Installer.
For Android 5.0(Lollipop) up to Android 6.0(Marshmallow)
- Download the latest Xposed Installer apk from here. (Currently v3.11)
- Install the apk on your device.
- Now download the latest flashable zip file from here: Android 5.0 5.1 6.0.
- Don’t forget to choose the appropriate ARM version of your device.
- Now boot into recovery mode on your device and flash the downloaded zip file.
Note: Flashing the zip file may cause boot loops on some devices. So this would mean that Xposed is not compatible with your device or your current ROM. To be safe and to prevent data loss we would recommend you to take full device backup.

The above steps will install the framework. But merely having the framework installed will not serve the purpose. You will need to have the required modules installed to get its full functionalities. Let’s have a look on how to install an Xposed module.
How to Install an Xposed Module?
The Xposed framework alone will not do any work in the Android device. You will have to install the particular module based on the kind of tweak you are looking forward to performing in your phone.
- Launch the Xposed framework in your phone and tap on the download button to find modules.
The download screen is divided into three sections: Framework, Installed, Not Installed.
- The framework shows the details for the Xposed Installer app, and you will be able to download updates from here.
- Installed shows the modules you currently have, and again you will download updates to them from here.
- Not Installed shows all other Xposed modules. Scroll through the list, or perform a search if you know what you’re looking for. When you find the module that you are looking for, simply tap on the Download button, which is available in the Version tab.

How does Xposed Framework work?
The Xposed Framework is like a portal. It alone is of no use in your phone but provides a bridge to install different modules in the device. These modules perform the actual job. They can change the behavior of the system and apps without touching any APKs. The changes that are made by the modules are independent codes that are installed on the Xposed Framework, reverting the changes is as easy as uninstalling an app. Multiple modules can work simultaneously on the Framework with the same system settings and change it independently.
How to uninstall an Xposed module?
As mentioned earlier, you can uninstall an Xposed module if you no longer need to use it. Uninstalling a module is quite straightforward. You can also disable the module for a period of time instead of permanently uninstalling it. To uninstall it open the Xposed Installer app and tap the Modules option. All your installed modules are listed here. To uninstall an Xposed module long press on the module in the list and then select Uninstall from the options. It’s good practice to reboot once more.
